Stranghoener, Dolores M.

Dolores M. Stranghoener, Appleton, 76, died Thursday afternoon, at Cherry Meadow Hospice. She was born April 1, 1928, to the late Oscar and Frieda (Ross) Schirm, in Peoria, Illinois and had been an Appleton resident since 1955. Dolores was involved with church and community activities and enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her husband, Werner Stranghoener, to whom she had been married for 55 years; three children, Linda (Mike) Wolcott, Indianapolis, Indiana; Larry (Lynn) Stranghoener, Plymouth, Minnesota; Ron Stranghoener, Seattle, Washington; and three grandchildren, Erika, Rachel and David Stranghoener.

Funeral services for Dolores will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, October 18, 2004, at FAITH LUTHERAN CHURCH, 601 East Glendale Avenue, with Reverend Mark H. Abrams and Reverend Paul Brinkman officiating. Burial will be in Appleton Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the church from 9:30 am, Monday until the time of the service. A memorial fund is being established for Faith Lutheran Church.
