Age 60, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, April 4, 2006, after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Dee was born September 7, 1945, in Madison, the daughter of Leonard and Frances Tranchita, of Madison. On January 8, 1966, she married Dennis Kepler, and they shared 40 wonderful years together. Dee was a realtor in Madison for ten years prior to moving to Appleton in 1990.
She loved playing bridge and was a member of several bridge groups. She also enjoyed golf, reading, and especially cooking for family gatherings on holidays. In her spare time she delivered Meals on Wheels, worked at the Salvation Army, and was a greeter at Appleton Medical Center.

Dee is survived by her parents, her husband, Denny, her sons, David (Karen), of Verona, and Derrick (Tami), of Windsor, and her dear grandchildren, Claudia, Nolan, Chloe, and Gwen; her brothers, Vincent (Kathy), of Phoenix, and Peter (Joann), of DeForest; her sisters, Nina Eddy, of Madison, and Josephine (Ralph) Spoerle, of Hot Springs, Ark.; and nieces and nephews, Ryan Tranchita, Erin Delaney, Ashley and Matthew Tranchita, William and Chris Eddy, Beverly Lynde, and Susan Spoerle.
She will truly be missed by all her family and friends.

A memorial mass for Dee will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. Friday, April 7, 2006, at ST. BERNARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1617 West Pine Street, Appleton, with Father Dennis Ryan as celebrant. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Dee’s name may be sent to the American Cancer Society, 3311 South Packerland Drive, DePere, WI, 54115, or ThedaCare Hospice, c/o AMC Foundation Office, 1818 North Meade Street, Appleton, 54911, Attn: Heather Erickson.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the professional staff in the Oncology Department at AMC and ThedaCare at Home Hospice.
