Diane M. Collar

Diane Collar, age 62, passed away early Sunday morning, June 22, 2014, at Cherry Meadows Hospice. Diane was born in New London on December 19, 1951, daughter of Elna (Planert) Carter and the late Glenn Carter. She was a 1970 graduate of Shiocton High School and a 1972 graduate of Outagamie County Teachers' College.

Diane is survived by her mother: Elna Carter of Shiocton; three sisters: Beverly Carter and Cheryl Carter, both of Shiocton; and Lynn (Bill) Buechler of Darboy; her husband: Bob Collar of Appleton; two sons: James (Autumn) Collar of Chippewa Falls and Jonathan Collar of Appleton; and grandson: Kane Carter. She also leaves behind Bob's family: Joanie (Terry) Conradt of Shiocton; Rick Collar of Menominee, Wisconsin; Allan (Lori) Collar of Wrightstown; Donna (Patrick) O'Toole of Darboy; and Judy (Tom) Moran of Michigan. She was preceded in death by her father: Glenn Carter, and by Bob's parents: Vernon and Lorain Collar.

The funeral liturgy for Diane will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, June 26. 2015 at ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 312 S. State Street in Appleton with Fr. Robert Lexa officiating. Interment will follow at the St. Denis Cemetery near Shiocton. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior Street, on Wednesday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, and again at the church on Thursday morning from 9:30 AM until he time of the service. The family would like to thank Dr. Conkright and everyone at the oncology department at St. Elizabeth Hospital, as well as all of the caregivers at Cherry Meadows Hospice. We will always remember your kindness.
