Diane F. Kaye passed away on August 20, 2017, just hours short of her 91st birthday. Diane was born on August 21, 1926 to the late Francis and Frances (Mierzwa) Pottner. In 1945, Diane married her long-time crush, the paperboy, (late) Anthony Kaye. They were married for 54 years until his passing in 1999. Diane spent the last portion of her working career at Menasha Utilities doing accounting/payroll. In her free time, she enjoyed playing cards with her husband and friends, playing scrabble and reading. She also enjoyed her time spent frosting christmas cookies, making apple sauce, baking breads and especially, baking apple pies.
Diane will be greatly missed by her children: Gary (Teresa “T”) Kaye and John (Molly) Kaye; grandchildren: Kenn Kaye (Jenny), Tyler Kaye, Mandi Meyer, and Krysta (Craig) Berry; great-grandchildren: McKenna Meyer, Kylen Berry, and Elyse Berry; and other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held in Diane’s honor at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 25, 2017 at ST JOHN THE BAPTIST CATHOLIC CHURCH, 516 DePere Street, Menasha 54952. There will be a time of visitation from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, there will be a memorial fund established in Diane’s name.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Prairie Home Assisted Living as well as ThedaCare at Home Hospice, especially her primary nurse Mary B, for their loving care for their mother.
