CLOUTIER, DENNIS R.
“CHOO-CHOO”
Dennis R. Cloutier, age 60, died at Cherry Meadows, Appleton, on May 1, 2008, after a long battle with cancer. Dennis was born September 3, 1947, in Milwaukee, to the late Chet and Ruth (Marten) Cloutier. He was a 1966 graduate of Neenah High School and proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the war in Vietnam. Enlisting in 1966, Dennis was stationed at Camp Pendelton, California, as a medic before joining Special Forces. During his time with Special Forces, earned 6 ribbons with the Brown Water Navy (river boats). He served in Vietnam from 1968-1970. Dennis was a computer operator at the Morning Glory Dairy for 16 years. He was a member of the Fox Valley Vietnam Vets and the Fox Valley Model Railroad Club. Dennis enjoyed fantasy football and baseball; hunting, fishing and camping at Kastle Kampground in Marion; and his model train set. Survivors include his sons, Todd (Melissa) Cloutier, Appleton, and Timothy (Tammy) Cloutier, Kaukauna; his brothers, Rodney Cloutier, Neenah; Dan (Kathy) Cloutier, Menasha; Scott Cloutier, Neenah; his sister, Sande Chronis, Waukesha; his granddaughters, Paige, Brooke, Ali and Macy; his nephews Kenneth and B.J.; his step-children Brittany and Jeremy; and many special friends, including his former wife, Judi Helf. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Gilbert and Kenneth. Funeral services will at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2008, at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, Tri-Country Chapel, 3212 South Oneida Street, Menasha, with Rev. Dan Sharp of Pentecostals of The Fox Cities officiating. Friends may call directly at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton, where military honors will be observed. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to all the doctors and nurses who have cared for him over the years.
