Dennis Harry Ballard

Dennis H. Ballard, age 71 of Appleton, passed away on Monday, August 10, 2020 due to heart complications. He was born on September 19, 1948 in Appleton. Denny had a love for spending time with his family, including telling stories to his grandchildren and giving them mementos. He also loved playing cards with his friends. His children will always remember him taking the family fishing and camping on the weekends. Denny was a Veteran of the Vietnam War, after this he spent over 35 years of employment at Riverside Paper Mill in Appleton. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.

Dennis is survived by his wife Deborah, his children Deanna (Matthew) Armstrong, Melanie (Craig) Swalby, Gina (R. John) Rodefer, Tamara (Arlin) Wilson, Harry (Lacy) Ballard. His eight grandchildren Bennett, Rochelle, Emileia, Evrick, Johnny, Jade, Journee, and Adriana. He is further survived by siblings Virginia Hauser, Karen Atten, Joanne Koplien, Margaret Barndt, Steven Ballard, Barbara Ballard, Catherine Remmel, Michael Ballard.

He is preceded in death by his parents Paul and Emily Ballard and siblings Kenneth Ballard, James Ballard.

The service for Dennis will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN, 537 N Superior St., Appleton.  The 2:00 service will be live streamed at www.wichmannfargo.com, under Dennis’ obituary page.  A time of visitation will take place from 1:00 pm until the time of service.

The family would like to thank Thedacare Regional Medical Center Appleton for their expertise and support they provided to Dennis and the family in the last moments. The family is also thankful and appreciative of all the loving support from friends and family at this time. We look forward to a better time when we can see Dennis again as talked about at John 5:28,29.
