Age 77, passed away at Fox River Assisted Living on Wednesday, October 05, 2005. She was born in Green Bay on May 29, 1928, daughter of the late Roger and Almira (Thiel) Mueller. On June 16, 1951, she married Harold Kaphingst. Throughout her life, Delores was employed at the Zwicker Knitting Mill, Miller Electric Manufacturing Company, and at Ridgeview Highlands. Delores enjoyed traveling which brought her to Germany, Japan, and throughout the United States. She was a people person and enjoyed spending time with her friends. Delores will be remembered for staying active, being with her friends, and having a strong faith in God.

Delores is survived by her son, Gary (Sharie) Kaphingst and their children: Andrew, Rebecca and Kelly, all of Greenville; sisters: Betty Jentz of Appleton and Judy Miller of Seymour; brother, Jim (Alice) Mueller of Navarino; brother-in-law, Fred (Barb) Kaphingst of Greenville; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Pete, Linda and their son Joe of Greenville. Delores is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Kaphingst, and a special friend, Marvin Schroeder.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2005, at IMMANUEL EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, W7265 School Road, Greenville, with Rev. David C. Hussman officiating. Friends will be received at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at the church cemetery following the funeral.

The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Fox River Assisted Living and to Theda Care Hospice, especially Judy Drier, for their attentive and compassionate care.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Delores’ name is being established.
