Delia M. Vanderloop

Age 98, passed away early Good Friday morning at St. Paul Home in Kaukauna. She was born in the town of Greenleaf on December 18, 1902, daughter of the late John and Nellie (Van der Wettering) Freeman. On June 28, 1928, she married Martin Vanderloop; he preceded her in death in 1955. Delia enjoyed helping her family and neighbors with farm work and gardening. She also enjoyed reading stories to her grandchildren. In her later years, she enjoyed playing cards and bingo. She will also be remembered as a great Packer fan.
Delia will be sadly missed by her three sons: Don (Bernice) Vanderloop, Ken (Ruth) Vanderloop, and Duane (Dolores) Vanderloop, all of Kaukauna; a daughter-in-law: Wilma Vanderloop of Kaukauna; a former son-in-law: Clarence Weyers of Kaukauna; her loving grandchildren: David (Nancy) Vanderloop, Susan (Mike) Schwabenlander, Dawn (Dan) Van Schyndel, Geraldine (Jeff) Yingling, Pat (Dave) Doering, Bill (Denise) Vanderloop, Jim (Sue) Vanderloop, Teresa (Jeff) Robinson, Mary Vanderloop, Steve (Linda) Vanderloop, Terry (Bo) Vanderloop, Mark Vanderloop, Vicki Vanderloop, Julie Vanderloop and her fiancé Eric Kanikula, Bruce (Sue) Vanderloop, Diane (John) Wells, Bob Vanderloop and his fiance Debbie Emmers, Kim (Scott) Tennessen, Lynn (Mark) Lamers, Dennis (Mary) Weyers, Tom (Shelly) Weyers, Barbara (Dean) Van Eperen, and Karen (Rick) Verhagen; forty-one great-grandchildren; six-great-great-grandchildren; a brother: Frank (Eunice) Freeman of Mishawaka, Indiana; a sister: Florence (Adrian) Sargent of Mishawaka, Indiana; special friends Clarice Christopherson and Tom Tennessen; and by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Martin in 1955, a daughter Elaine Weyers in 1984, a son Gerald Vanderloop in 1992, five brothers, three sisters, and a granddaughter Alice Marie Vanderloop.
The Funeral Liturgy for Delia will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 18, 2001 at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street in Kaukauna with Fr. Jack Mullarkey officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call directly at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until the hour of the liturgy.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the entire staff at the St. Paul Home. Delia had made her home with you for several years, and you treated her like family. Your kindness, love, and concern will never be forgotten. You all are very special people.
