Debra Jean Allwardt, age 52, passed away peacefully in her sleep, when her golden heart stopped beating at 2:55 am, Friday, June 8, 2007, following a four month courageous battle with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and cancer. Debbie also battled Myasthenia Gravis for 38 years and Lupus for the past decade. She was born July 8, 1954, to Otto and LouAnn (Drawenek) Luedtke, in Kaukauna and was an area resident most of her life. Debra was a graduate of Kaukauna High School and enjoyed doing crafts and gardening. She is survived by her husband, Gary M. Allwardt, whom she married August 10, 1974, in Kaukauna; her son, Jason G. Allwardt, Appleton; her daughter, Leah Ann (Brian) Hanson, Menasha; three grandchildren, Daemon Allwardt, Otis and Colton Hanson; her mother and step-father, LouAnn (Jerry) Otte, Deming, NM; a brother, Todd (Lois) Luedtke and their children, Nathan (Melissa), Brandon and Andrew, Little Chute; a sister, Victoria (Russell) Schmidt and their children, Jennifer and Jacqueline, Wabeno; two step-brothers and a step-sister. She was preceded in death by her father, Otto Luedtke and her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Meyer and Mr. and Mrs. William Luedtke. It was Debra’s wishes there be no visitation or funeral. Debbie was an amazing woman and the most wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. She always put others first before herself and will be missed by her family and friends.
