Age 52, died on May 19, 2004, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Debbie was born on May 16, 1952, in Appleton, to the late George and Joyce (Anderson) Thies. She married Robert T. Nemecek on July 17, 1971, in Appleton. Debbie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister and especially enjoyed the time she spent with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed computer games and her wide circle of internet friends. Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Robert; her daughters, Susan (Bill) Vosters, Appleton, and Lisa Nemecek, Appleton; her grandchildren, Ashlyn and Justin; her sister, Cathy (Dave) Decker, Hortonville; her brother, Bradley Thies, Appleton; her uncles, aunts, many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her uncle Wallace Anderson. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 24, 2004, at FIRST ENGLISH LUTHERAN CHURCH, 326 East North Street, Appleton, with Rev. Vicki Fink officiating. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Appleton, on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and again directly at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff of the ICU at St. Elizabeth Hospital for their loving care. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in her name; donations should be directed to the funeral home address.
