Age 42, passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at Brewster Village. Dean was born in Milwaukee on Sept. 22, 1965, son of Bonnie (Nortman) and John H. Johnson. He graduated from Chester School in May of 1987. Dean loved his work at both Valley Packaging and Brewster Village workshop. He enjoyed horseback riding, going to see the Packers play, sitting in the front row of music concerts and being the torch-bearer and participant at Special Olympics. Dean's enthusiasm for electronic toys, music, Santa and Packers has infected the hearts of many. Dean will be sadly missed by his mother and father, his sisters, Sara (Paul) Wait and their children, Brooke and Lilly; Susan (Dean) Bowden and their daugher, Kendra; Patricia (Randy) Neumann and their children, Daniel and Mariah; his grandmother, Ardith Nortman; aunts, uncles, cousins; and his family at Brewster Village. Waiting in Heaven with open arms are his grandparents, Irwin and Iola Johnson, and Phillip Nortman, his nephew, Randall Newmann, and his foster mother, Laura Pauling.

Funeral services to celebrate Dean's life will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday with a viewing beginning at 1 p.m., at the Brewster Village Chapel, 3300 W. Brewster Street, Appleton.
