Dean B. Curtis Sr., 77, of Menasha, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 30, 2017, at ThedaCare Medical Center, Neenah. He was born on May 17, 1940, in Menasha, the son of Leon and Dolores (Jensen) Curtis. Dean graduated from Menasha High School, the Class of 1961. He would meet with his classmates every Tuesday. Dean’s life revolved around his wife, children, grandchildren, and dogs. He was united in marriage to Betty Witt on June 12, 1965, at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, Neenah. He was employed for many years with Super America, enjoyed spending time up in Florence, and was a lifelong member of Congregational United Church of Christ, Neenah.
Dean is survived by his wife: Betty; 3 children: Dean Curtis, Doug (Sherri) Curtis, and Vicki (Brian) Madrigal; 5 grandchildren: Tamara, Justin, Jacob, and Tyler Curtis, and Brandon Madrigal; mother-in-law: Elizabeth Witt; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Dean was preceded in death by his parents; and 3 siblings: Lois (Pete) Succa, Velma Curtis, and Darlene (Edgar) Janssen.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, on Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at Congregational United Church of Christ, 1511 Nicolet Blvd., Neenah, with Rev. Martin Carney officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Neenah. Visitation will be Tuesday at the church from 9:00 am until the time of the service.
