David W. Hartung

David W. Hartung, age 70, passed away at his Menasha home on October 8, 2021.  He was born June 21, 1951, the eldest child of Herbert and Marjorie Hartung.  Dave was a Past Commander and life member of the Johnston – Blessman American Legion Post # 38 where he helped begin the Scarlet Guard and the Military Show.

He is survived by his wife: Pat Hartung; a son Brian (Kate) and their son Matt.  Additional survivors include his father-in-law, Lyle Spreeman; brothers Don (Jean) Hartung, Bob Hartung, and Tom Hartung; sisters: Jean (Scott) McMyler and Sue (Bill) Graf; sisters-in-law: Vicki (Bruce) Walker, Laure (Dave) Nelson, and Amanda Spreeman; a brother-in-law Mark (Brenda) Spreeman, and other nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, mother-in-law Lillian Spreeman, and brother-in-law Tony Spreeman.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to Compassus Hospice for the care and compassion they gave to Dave and the support they gave to his family.
