Age 57, died in Appleton on February 1, 2003. He was born in Kokomo, Indiana, son of Weldon and Florence (Ressler) Coles. His mother precedes him in death. In 1983, he married Kathleen Hallgren in East Lansing, Michigan. David will be remembered for being an avid sports fan who followed college basketball and was a “Golf Fanatic.” He was a wonderful husband and was very proud of his three children.

David is survived by his wife Kathy, father Weldon, three children: Jennifer (fiancé Joseph Lauzen) Hallgren of Naperville, Illinois; Sarah Coles of San Diego, California, and Melanie Coles of Appleton; a brother, Dr. Jerry (Beckie) Coles of Ankorage, Alaska; a sister, Suzanne (John) Ketcham of Indianapolis, Indiana; and a mother-in-law, Donna (Jim) Albin.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2003, at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, with Fr. Gerald Falk Officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Appleton Medical Center for their compassionate care.

Memorials in David’s name would be appreciated.
