Formerly of Little Chute, Age 45, passed away on Friday, August 25, 2006 in Escanaba. He was born in Appleton on September 27, 1960 to Donald and the late Fern (Olson) Goehring. He was a 1979 graduate of Appleton West High School where he excelled at football and track. After high school he went on to graduate from Gateway Technical College with a certificate in Airplane Mechanics. Dave drove semi for most of his working career for several area trucking companies. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Dave enjoyed motorcycle ice racing, and wildlife photography, especially deer.

He will be sadly missed by his father, Donald “Tex” Goehring, Appleton; siblings: Daniel (Sp. Friend Gerry), Greenville; Deborah (Kerry) Blankenship, Forest Junction, Darryl (Linda) Elk Mound, WI, Dorene (Greg) Pepin, Appleton; nieces and nephews: Noah and Lucy Pepin, Myranda Blankenship; grandmother: Arlene Sonnenburg, Appleton; aunt: Anna Deguisne, Kaukauna; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. In addition to his mother, Fern, he was preceded in death by three grandparents and his uncle Marty.

Memorial services for Dave will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2006 at 12:30 P.M. at the Wichmann Funeral Home (537 N. Superior Street) with Pastor Larry Matthews officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:30 A.M. until the time of the service. Donations in David’s name can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
