Dave was a husband, father, grandfather, a son, a brother, a brother-in-law, a nephew, an uncle and a cousin. The most important thing to Dave was family. He was the instigator to get his family together for reunions, he made sure the cousins always spent time together, and sent emails to everyone who had an address. He was on the pulse of the family.
Dave to anyone who knew him exemplified the Good Samaritan. There wasn't a person in need he wouldn't stop to help. He was a loyal friend and dedicated to all. Dave loved being surrounded by his friends. The challenge of a new town with new people excited him.
He couldn't wait to make all of you his new friends. Dave was an inventor. He woke up daily with a way to change the world make it easier and of course make a million dollars. He never followed though with his ideas but if he has his way Heaven will be a lot more efficient when he gets there.
We are not here to say good-bye to Dave but to say my friend your journey was well traveled and we will be overjoyed when we finally meet again. Peace be with you all and calm be your hearts until the day we are reunited with all our loved ones and we can embrace our family once again.

From the Eyes of a Child
My 6 year old son, Bradley…Dave's grandson,
helped me through this very difficult moment by
putting into prospective, for me, why Grandpa
had to die. Here's a small excerpt from our conversation…
Bradley seemed weepy Thursday night and I asked him if he had anything he wanted to talk about. He said, ''Yes.''
''What would you like to talk about?'' I asked him.
''Why is Papa dying?'' he asked.
My only answer was '' I dont have the answer for that, Bradley.''
''Well, I do…'', he began. ''Jesus only borrows people to us, most people live to be 800 years old,'' he continued. ''Now Papa, he was only 49, but we had him for 49 years. Don't you think Jesus would like him back?''
You will forever be in our thoughts and in our dreams, Dad!
I'm so thankful that you moved here so that we had quality time together..those precious memories will be forever embedded in my heart. I love you, Daddy-O!
