Appleton

David E. Koenaman passed away peacefully at home on December 23, 2024, from natural causes at age 78.

He was born in Neenah, Wisconsin on July 5, 1946, to Emil and Gladys Koenaman.

Dave graduated from Menasha High School in 1964 and continued his education at UW Fox Valley.

He married Christine Jensen in 1968 and had daughter Lisa (Koenaman) Baumgartner. Dave spent thirteen years at Thilmany Paper Mill before moving to Jascksonville, FL. He then married Sharon (Gloudeman) Koenaman in 1989. Dave was employed at Maxwell House as an electrical technician for eighteen years before retiring in 2008.

He was an avid Packers fan and started a fan club in Florida. A proud grandparent, Dave enjoyed watching his gransons’ racing and his granddaughters’ musical performances. A trivia expert, Dave was sought after for many family game nights. He loved to read and had a passion for all movies.

Dave is survived by his wife of thirty-five years, Sharon; daughter Lisa (Stu) Baumgartner, grandchildren Margo and Ryan Baumgartner, stepdaughters Lisa Bascue (special friend Keith Ristow), Lori (Scott) Biese, step grandchildren Rachel Bascue, Lauren Bascue (fiancée Jordan Lehman), Carter and Jordan Biese, sisters Muriel Geison, Diane White and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Iris Clark and several aunts and uncles.

At Dave’s request, a private family service will be held.

Dave will be missed for his quick-wit and easy-going nature. We take comfort in knowing he is pain-free and at peace.
