DAVID JOHN “DAVE” MANDERSCHEID
71, of Brillion, passed away Monday, September 26, 2005 surrounded by his loving family after a short but courageous battle with cancer. He was born August 8, 1934 in Appleton, the son of the late Vern and Iva (Kiesner) Manderscheid. David married Ila Mae Hopfensperger on August 8, 1952 in Chilton. She preceded him in death on October 20, 1993. He enjoyed spending time with family and loved their family gatherings. Dave was a member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Woodville. He also enjoyed farming and his trucking business.
David is survived by four children: Carmen (Glenn) Brandenburg and their children Brett (Lisa Vanderloop) Brandenburg and Angela (Jeremy Grenzer) Brandenburg; David Jr. “Butch” (fiancé Jen Terrey) Manderscheid and his daughter Taylor; Donna (Vince) Nettekoven and their children Jeremy (Beth Vatland) Nettekoven and Ashley (best friend Kim Godfroy) Nettekoven; Gary (Julie Drinkwine) Manderscheid and their son Michael; his special great grandson, Tyler Branenburg; sisters: Marie Schaefer and Joan (Stanley) Meyer; sisters-in-law: Gloria (Harold) Lauer, Phyllis (Gene) Blank and Lois Wolf. He is further survived by many special nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
The Christian Funeral for David will be held at 10:30 am Thursday, September 29, 2005 at ST. JOHN EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, N9125 Military Rd., Woodville with Rev. Paul Fanning officiating. Interment at Union Cemetery, Brothertown. Visitation will be at the Fargo Funeral Home Wednesday from 4:00 – 8:00 pm and Thursday at the Church from 8:30 – 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
