Age 42, passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2001 surrounded by family and friends at home. Daniel was born on July 5, 1959 the son of the late Pat and Shirley Berg. Daniel married Carla Henn on July 21, 1989 in Appleton, WI. He was employed at Pomp’s Tire for numerous years. He served in the United States National Guard for 12 years. He was an avid race fan, including both NASCAR and local racing. He also enjoyed snowmobiling and camping.

Daniel is survived by, his loving wife Carla; a daughter, Christina Berg, Combined Locks; a step-son, Nathan (Valerie) Davis, Appleton; grandmother, Gertrude Melchoirs; father-in-law, William Henn, Appleton; three brothers, Bruce, Menasha; Greg (Sue), Appleton; Pat Berg, Neenah; two sisters, Linda (Dave) Albrecht, Appleton; Cindy (Dave) Siegmann, Appleton. Four sisters-in-law, Joanne Henn, Appleton; Sandy Walters, Menasha; Mary (Bruce) Mueller, Appleton; and Nancy (Joe) Kunstman, Seymour; two brothers-in-law, Bill (Shelly) Henn, Black Creek and Brian (Jenny) Henn, Hortonville. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Daniel was preceded in death by, his parents, Pat and Shirley Berg and his mother-in-law, Dorothy Henn.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, August 3, 2001 at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. and again on Friday from 10:00 until the time of service (12 Noon).

A memorial fund is being established. The family wishes to thank all the employees at Pomp’s Tire and NCS Healthcare that donated their vacation and sick time to Dan and Carla. A special thanks to ThedaCare At Home for their care and support.
