Daniel J. Lauer

Daniel Lauer, 62, passed away unexpectedly on January 4, 2025. He was born on April 7, 1962, to Norbert and RoseAnn (Hietpas) Lauer.

Dan was born and raised in the fox valley. He graduated from Appleton West High School and went to Fox Valley Technical College where he was trained to be a welder. He did that for 25 years and was very proud of his work.

Dan spent his time collecting records, hunting for and collecting hot wheels, working on bicycles, and playing cribbage and competing in tournaments.

Daniel is survived by his mother, RoseAnn, his siblings: Jerry (Rita) Lauer, SueAnn (Shawn Schober) Lauer; nieces and nephews: Richard Reinke, Annette (Sean Wallace) Marsh, Jennifer Marsh, Jeremy (Natalie) Lauer, Nicholas (Megan Millard) Lauer, Arvin (Lexus Tankersley) Lauer, Stephanie (Amber Naber) Lauer; grand nieces and nephews: Tyler, Aubrey, Keegan, SaraAnn, Eli, Olivia, Brooke, Belle, Noah, Kayla, Lily, and other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father Norbert, sister Julie and his grandparents Helen and Sebastian Hietpas, grandparents John and Magdalen Lauer and step grandfather Anton J. Lauer, and other relatives and friends. 

There will a visitation on January 15, 2025, from 9-11am with a service starting at 11 at Wichmann Funeral Home at 537 N Superior St. Appleton WI 54911. Deacon Gerry Schraufnagel will be officiating.
