Daniel K. Borree

Dan Borree, age 60 of Appleton, was called home to be with Jesus, suddenly, while deer hunting on Saturday, November 23rd, opening day of deer season and a time of year he always looked forward to. Dan was born in Kaukauna on January 29, 1964, son of Kenneth Borree and the late Carol (Loderbauer) Borree. He was a graduate of the Kaukauna High School and Fox Valley Technical College. During his working career, he was employed as a machinist and CNC programmer for various manufacturers in the Valley, retiring from B&H Patterns after 20+ years in 2021 to pursue his true passions of living life and caring for his family, AKA more work! On October 3, 1997, he married Gina Grman; together they had two children, Halle and Jacob, to whom he devoted his love and time to.

Dan was an avid hunter, hardcore Packer fan, and a ‘buddy’ in Miracle League Baseball. He spent his time tending his vegetable gardens and canning pickles, grilling and smoking delicious foods for everyone, hanging out with his border collie buddy Harry and cat companions Sunny and Tigger, and making his own ‘drinkable hand sanitizer’, also known as moonshine. He particularly enjoyed indulging in and sharing his creations with friends and family around the backyard campfire and at Mapleview Campground. Most of all, he dedicated himself to the special care of those he loved.

He is survived by his loving wife, Gina Grman; his children Halle and Jacob; his father Kenneth Borree; aunts and uncles: Sharon Steinberg, Lois (Melvin) Lendt, Darold (Cheryl) Borree, and Betty (John) Pogrant, and many cousins. He will also be sadly missed by his dear friends (who were like family to Dan): Adam and Trish Van Cuyk and their kids Ella and Logan, as well as Dan and Sue Krahenbuhl and their kids Andrea and Kendra.

Dan was preceded in death by his mother Carol Borree, uncles Roger Steinberg and David (Sharon) Borree, his paternal grandparents Walter and Caroline Borree, and his maternal grandparents Ray and Naomi Loderbauer.

The Christian Funeral Service for Dan will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, located at 804 Grignon Street in Kaukauna, with Rev. Stanley Draper officiating, Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park. Visitation will be held directly at the church on Saturday morning from 9:00 AM until the hour of the service at 11:00 AM.

Memorial donations may be made to Miracle League of the Fox Valley, an organization that Dan volunteered his time at during the summer to be a “buddy” mentor for children with disabilities who desire to play baseball, regardless of their abilities.
