Dana P. DuQuaine, 56, of Appleton, passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness on August 20, 2021. He was born to Harold and Gayle DuQuaine on March 4, 1965, in Green Bay. He graduated from Ashwaubenon High School in 1983, and attended Carroll College on a theater scholarship. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1987.
Dana was an extremely gifted musician, talented in both vocals and piano. He was a natural performer, excelling at forensics, theater, and karaoke nights. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially watching the Islanders and the Packers, and game nights, camping, and hanging out with his good friends. He had a great love of dogs, especially his dog Sheila and other family pets.
Dana is preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold and Cecilia DuQuaine, and Floyd “Bud” and Selma Zilles; and aunt Lynda Zilles.
He is survived by his parents, Harry and Gayle DuQuaine; brothers, Denis DuQuaine, and Deric (Julie) DuQuaine; nieces and nephew, Kelsey, Cooper, Natalie, and Annabelle DuQuaine (his goddaughter); aunts, Connie (Dan) Kane, and Kris (Jack) VandenHeuvel; cousins, and many close friends.
The family and friends of Dana DuQuaine will have a celebration of Dana’s life on Sunday, September 26, 2021 from Noon until 3:00 p.m. at Calmes Pub, 1441 Arbor Way, Kaukauna, WI (just off the intersection of Hwy 41 and Hwy 55).
The family would like to thank the staff at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, especially Dr. Nicholas Freeman and Nurse Amy, for their excellent care.
