Cindy Farrell Hoffmann, 64, suddenly passed away in her home on Thursday, March 23rd, 2023.
A lifelong resident of Appleton, Cindy (Cynthia Jean) was born on April 7, 1958. She graduated from Appleton West High School in 1976. Her first job after graduating was as a teller for Valley Bank in Appleton. Typical of Cindy’s exuberant approach to life, she also volunteered to dress up as the bank’s mascot – a St. Bernard – and made appearances at Appleton Foxes games and community events.
In 1979, Cindy graduated from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College with an Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene. After several years as a hygienist, Cindy discovered the profession that would ultimately be the perfect match for her energetic and outgoing personality: residential real estate. Helping people find the perfect home for themselves and their families quickly became Cindy’s passion and fueled an award-winning career with several prominent Fox Valley Realtor firms that spanned more than 30 years with over 20 of those years with Coldwell Banker Real Estate Group.
In 1981, Cindy married Gary Hoffmann and while their relationship wasn’t permanent, they raised two children – Tyler and Kelsey – who Cindy profoundly loved.
Cindy loved to travel, and there was never a sun-soaked beach she didn’t love. She enjoyed being with family and entertaining friends at their cottage on Legend Lake. She was fiercely competitive when it came to games played around the dining room table at family gatherings, particularly at Christmas. She found great joy in the dogs who were part of her life over the years. And Cindy’s engaging smile and infectious laugh would light up any room on a moment’s notice.
Cindy will be deeply missed by her children: Tyler (Jenny) Hoffmann of Kimberly and Kelsey (Max) Heath of Austin, Texas; five grandchildren: Quinn, Harper and Norah Hoffmann, and Elizabeth and Harrison Heath; her brother Scott (Cathy) Farrell of Hoffman Estates, Illinois; her nephews Brian (Sarah) Farrell of Chicago, Illinois and Kevin (Allison) Farrell of Lake Zurich, Illinois; her great-nieces and nephews; and former husband, Gary Hoffmann of Butte des Morts.
Cindy is preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Barb (Koss) Farrell.
A celebration of life will be held on April 13, 2023 at 3:30 PM at the Capitol Centre, 725 W. Capitol Dr, Appleton, WI 54914. Please consider leaving a condolence for Cindy's family below.
