Cynthia “Cindy” A. Le Clair, age 62, of Little Chute, passed away surrounded by her family at home on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 from a short battle with cancer. Cindy was born on January 11, 1955 in Appleton, the daughter of Ken and Anna (Cappaert) Merkes. On November 12, 1977 Cindy married Lawrence “Larry” Le Clair.
Cindy enjoyed cooking, visits to the cottage Up North and listening to her nephews play in their band, Marblehead. Cindy especially loved her two dogs, Crystal and Molly.
She will be greatly missed by her husband of thirty-nine years, Larry Le Clair; her mother, Anna Merkes; sisters, Jane Gahr and Peg Ulman; brothers, Tom (Marilyn) Merkes, Chuck (Kathy) Merkes, Joe Merkes (Joe Amann) and her brother-in-law, Robert (Marie) Le Clair. Cindy is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and other dear relatives. Cindy also leaves behind her special friends, Butch (Becky) Reider and Steve (Shelley) Baumann.
Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Ken Merkes and her brother-in-law, Glen Ulman.
The Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at JASEN-FARGO FUNERAL HOME, 204 East Kimberly Avenue in Kimberly. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Inurnment will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery in Appleton. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Cindy’s name. Online condolences can be made at www.wichmanfargo.com.
