Craig V. Berg, 64, peacefully passed away at home after his intense battle with cancer on October 28, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born on November 1, 1959, to Thomas and Diane (Verhulst) Berg.
While Craig was born in Minnesota, he was raised in Sheboygan and Manitowoc. He graduated from Manitowoc Lincoln High School in 1979. He was enrolled in Lakeshore Technical College but left to go apprentice under his father to be a dental technician and eventually taking over the family business. He met the love of his life, Darlene, out on the town and they were together ever since, spending 30+ wonderful years together, and getting married in 2003.
Craig loved being on a motorcycle. He was always tinkering with motors and fixing up cars and making them look good. He also enjoyed taking his daughters for ice cream and bike rides. He also loved a good bargain. In his early years, he would go up to Michigan with his friends and Darlene to go ride on snow mobiles. He always had his buddy Kingston with him.
Craig is survived by his wife Darlene, children: Holly (Derek Barker) Berg, Michelle (Ryan Abitz) Berg; Step-Children: Amy (Greg) Yahner, Jeremy (Melissa) Mauthe; siblings: Colleen (Patrick) Runyon, Ed (Michelle) Berg, Donna (George) Monroe, Marilyn (Steve) Wronkowski; grand-children: Ashton, Gavin, Audrina, Henry, Jennifer, Joshua, Graham, and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his dog Kingston.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday November 2, 2024, at Tri-County Chapel, 1592 S Onieda St, Menasha WI 54952. Visitation will be from 11-1pm with a service starting at 1.
The family would like to express their deep gratitude to the staff at Appleton Medical Center and the ThedaCare hospice team, with a special thank you to Lexie.
