Age 82, died Saturday, September 29, 2001, after a short illness. He was born to the late Edward and Mary (Elmer) Hostettler on March 30, 1919 in Stockbridge, Wisconsin. On October 11, 1945, he married Inez Van De Hey in Kaukauna. After 40 years of marriage Inez preceded Conrad in death on December 21, 1985. He worked at Thilmany Pulp and Paper for 35 years and was a proud member of the Quarter Century Club. Church was important in Conrad’s life and he attended St. Mary Catholic Church every week. Conrad loved life and had an appreciation for the outdoors. Activities that were enjoyed include: fishing, hunting, gardening, and bird watching. Socializing with friends was important for Conrad. He is survived by 4 daughters and one son; Carol (Jim) Guyes, Kaukauna; Joan Persing, Florida; Judy (Ron) Grishaber, Appleton; Debbie Hostettler, Kaukauna; Steve (Mary Pleshek) Hostettler, Kimberly; sister, Ruth Wagner, Racine; brother, Robert (Mildred) Hostettler, Kaukauna; two stepsisters, Unice Berkhaus, Chilton; and Alice Heller, Chilton; 11 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. Conrad is preceded in death by a twin brother and 4 sisters. The funeral liturgy will be on Wednesday, October 3, 2001, at 4:30 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 119 West Seventh Street, Kaukauna, with Fr. Robert Udulutsch officiating. Friends may call at the church at 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. A private burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.
