Colleen M. Kobs

Colleen Marie (Immel) Kobs, 63, of Kaukauna, Wisconsin, peacefully passed away on the morning of Wednesday, January 3rd, 2018. She was born on August 28, 1954, in New London and raised by her mother Helen Jean Payton. Colleen grew up in Shiocton and moved to Appleton where a few years later she would meet and get married to Robert Kobs, Jr. on January 28th, 1979. Colleen started her family and worked at Zwicker in Appleton, but would later focus full-time on raising her four sons.

Colleen later worked at Marlene's Floral and kept a personal floral studio in her home where she worked making seasonal and wedding arrangements for family and friends. She found great pleasure in decorating, sewing, cooking, entertaining, shelties and most things lemon.

Colleen was a warm, loving, gentle, caring, encouraging, and selfless woman that put all others before herself. You could find her volunteering at her sons sporting events or school trips. She opened her home for so many to come visit, share meals, and gather for the holidays. All who have been touched by Colleen’s huge heart and loving arms will agree she was truly an angel.

She is survived by her husband: Robert, her boys and their spouses: Ryan, Brandon (Tiffany), Jason (Summer), and Aaron (Jenna); and grandchildren, Levi, Roman, Annabell, Jackson, and Amora; brothers and sisters and their spouses: Charlotte (Lorne) Williams, Richard (Nancy) Immel, Donald Immel, Steve Immel, Shirley (Greg) Popp; a sister-in-law, Jacque Immel; and many nieces and nephews.

Colleen was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Jean Payton; step-father, Neal Payton; and her siblings, Larry Immel and Tina Slempkes; and grandparents, Esther and Homer Thompson.

A celebration of life will be held at Apostolic Truth Church, 2720 N Kesting Court, Appleton, WI 54911 on Saturday, January 13th from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM.

With a great love of flowers, bouquets and floral arrangements will be accepted in memory of Colleen at the Apostolic Truth Church.
