Clifford W. Rademacher

October 18, 1918 — January 23, 2006

Age 87, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 23, 2006 at St. Paul Elder Services in Kaukauna. Cliff was born in Dundas on October 18, 1918, son of the late Peter and Ann (Micke) Rademacher. From 1941 until 1945 (the entire duration of World War II), Cliff served as a member of the United States Army and was currently a member of the Freedom Post #7692 of the VFW. Cliff’s good friends from the post will provide the military honors at his funeral. On November 28, 1946, Cliff married the former Rita Murphy; she preceded him in death on March 12, 1983. On September 29, 1984, he married Agnes VerBockel Karner; she survives. For over thirty years, Cliff was employed by the Kimberly Clark Corporation in Kimberly, retiring in 1975. He enjoyed bowling, playing cards with family and friends, and of course, bus trips to the casino. Cliff will long be remembered for the countless hours he and Agnes volunteered by cleaning Sacred Heart Church in Sherwood. Those who knew Cliff well knew him to be a deeply religious man also – not a day passed on which he didn’t pray the rosary.

Survivors include his wife: Agnes Rademacher of Sherwood; a daughter: Mary Pat (Rich) Willems of DePere; his twin sister: Cleta Van Dyke of Kaukauna; three grandchildren: Bob (Dawn) Willems; Barb Willems and her special friend Ed Wojkiewicz; and Patti Willems; three great-grandchildren: Taylor and Kelsey Willems, and Saige Wojkiewicz. Cliff is also survived by Agnes’ children: Norb (Marce) Karner of Kimberly; Don Karner and his special friend Randi Bera of Kaukauna; Carol (Jerry) Calnin of Wrightstown; Paul (Charmaine) Karner of Greenville; Joyce (Cliff) Eiting of Hollandtown; Lois (Dave) Ribbens of Greenwood, Minnesota; and Mary Kay (Mark) Heindel of Wrightstown; seventeen step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren; a special daughter-in-law: Carol Hetzel of Appleton; as well as numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. Cliff was preceded in death by his parents, three infant sons, brothers Leo (Loretta) Rademacher and Elmer (Evelyn) Rademacher; sisters Lillian (Urban) Eiting and Loretta (Gordon) Nettekoven; and a brother-in-law Al Van Dyke.

The funeral liturgy will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 28, 2006 at SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH, N341 Military Road in Sherwood with Fr. Kenneth Frozena officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Name Cemetery in Kimberly. Friends may call directly at the church on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the hour of the services.
