Aged 84, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Sunday January 11, 2004. Beloved husband, father and grandfather; Clifford was born in Green Bay on September 25, 1919, the youngest son of Celia and Louis Vincent.
Clifford graduated from Green Bay East High School in 1938, earned his bachelor’s degree in science from Saint Norbert College in 1942, and also went on to receive a master’s degree in education at the University of Wisconsin in Madison.
During World War II, he served his country as a communications officer with the U.S. Army Signal Corps, serving with the headquarters Western Pacific command in New Guinea and the Philippines theatre of operations. After being honorably discharged after attaining the rank of Captain, U.S. Army, Clifford married Marion “Kip” Albrecht in Green Bay and later moved to Appleton where he taught in the Appleton Vocational Schools.
In the 1950’s, Clifford established Vincent Realty. He later became a registered representative with Wayne Hummer & Co, where he worked for over 38 years.
Clifford enjoyed playing golf at Butte de Morts and travel together with “Kip”, his life partner, to almost all of the continents of the world. He was a member of Saint Bernard’s Parish where he served as an usher for many years and was also a member of the St. Norbert College Golden Knights and Fox Valley Alumni Task Group which was involved with International Business and Student Exchange programs.
Surviving him are his wife of 57 years, Marion “Kip” Vincent; a son, Bradley Vincent of Ann Arbor, Michigan and his wife, Leslie; a daughter, Kristin Vincent Hietpas of Woodbury, Minnesota and husband Charles; and four grandchildren: Carrie Hutton, Lauren, Ashley and John Hietpas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Pearl Kehl and two brothers, Alvin and Walter Vincent.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bernard Catholic Church (1617 W. Pine St.) Appleton with Father John Bergstadt officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2004 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 8:00 p.m at the funeral home, and also one hour of visitation prior to the service at church. Entombment will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Appleton.

The family would like to express their sincere thanks for the loving care and concern Clifford received from the staff and nurses at Peabody Manor during his stay.
