Age 86, passed away on Thursday December 7, 2006 at Appleton Medical Center. Clara was born January 20, 1920 in Crookston, Minnesota daughter of the late John and Sophia (Richter) Hartmann. She married Jerome M. Kampmann on October 10, 1944 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death on April 26, 1962. After Clara’s retirement from the Kohler Company in 1983 she was a loving nanny for numerous families in Sheboygan Falls and the Fox Cities.

Clara is survived by her children; Gary (Sara) Kampmann, Kohler; Susan Kampmann, Merrill; Deb (Greg) Nowak, Appleton; grandchildren, Blair (John) Borthwick, New York City; Trevor Kampmann, Washington, D.C.; Ashley Nowak, Appleton; great grandchildren; Brett, Sabine, and Aulden Borthwick, New York; a sister Erma Jentink, Sheboygan, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by a son Jerome Jr., a brother Jon Hartmann, sisters, Marie Navarre, and Elsie Dakuras.
She was a lifetime member of the Eagles Club, a member of various garden clubs, and a member of St. Pius X Catholic Parish.

Clara was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and adored by the many children for whom she cared. She will be missed by all whose lives she touched.

The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM Monday December 11, 2006 at St. Pius X Catholic Church 500 West Marquette St., Appleton, Wisconsin, with burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.
Visitation will be held on Sunday at the funeral home from 2-6 PM, with a prayer service to be held at 4:30 PM. A memorial has been established.
