of Appleton, age 57, died unexpectedly surrounded by his loving family from complications after heart surgery at Appleton Medical Center on December 31, 2003. He was born on August 4, 1946 to the late Clair and Marie Stoffel in Redwood Falls, Minnesota. He married Sandra Kaelin on September 29, 1973 in Appleton at St. Therese Catholic Church. Fritz proudly served our country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed at Voith Fabrics for the last 39 years. Fritz was an avid golfer, loved to play cards and most important, spending time with his family. He also enjoyed trips to the cottage, and being outdoors enjoying nature.

He will sadly be missed by his wife, Sandra, sisters: Carol (Franklin ‘Al’) Post, Appleton, Mary (David) Brooks, Appleton; mother-in-law, Jane Kaelin, Little Chute; sisters-in-law: Rosie Stoffel, Little Chute, Marilyn Stoffel, Kimberly and Sherry (Roger) Boyette, Franklin; he is further survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.

Fritz was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Denis and John; father-in-law, Elmer Kaelin and nephew, Al Post.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. with Pete Reinl officiating at the funeral home. Friends will be received from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services. Military honors will follow the service. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Appleton. A memorial fund is being established in his name.

The family would like to thank the medical staff, ICU and Chaplain Nolan for their care and concern.
