Christopher Thomas Voase, age 68, died on October 13, 2023. Chris was born on November 16, 1954, in Chicago, IL. He grew up in Chicago, the only son of parents Christian and Marge Hanson. As a youth Chris went to St John's Military Academy- a fact he was forever proud of. It’s likely that experience contributed to his perfectionist tendencies around the house-he was a man who loved to have “everything in its’ place.”
Following high school, Chris spent some time in Florida, and then relocated to WI. 24 years ago, he met Juanita Hein on the bus; it was a match of perfection for both. They loved to decorate their home and enjoyed using anything with a sparkle, shine or light up! Chris enjoyed collecting knick-knacks. Anyone with a good cup of coffee would forever be Chris’ friend. If you arrived in his presence with a good cup of black coffee, he was happy. He also enjoyed Mountain Dew, but always needed a "bendy straw" to go with it. A natural tinkerer, Chris enjoyed fixing things around the home. He was handy doing the small, odd jobs around the house.
Chris truly took pride in taking care of people. He especially took care of Juanita and ensured she felt safe. Part of taking care of things also made him an exceptionally hard worker! He always worked overtime when he could.
Chris is survived by the true love of his life Juanita, her children Tonya (Scot), Billie (Rick), and Ryan (Kaitlyn), God daughter Christa as well as other family and friends. He is preceded in passing by his parents.
A graveside committal will be held Tuesday October 17, 2023 at 1:00pm at Riverside Cemetery.
