Christine Jane Scovronski, age 78, of Menasha, passed away on Thursday February 13, 2025, at ThedaCare, Neenah. Chris was born in Neenah to the late Albert and Lucy (Wicsinske) Lenz on October 30, 1946. She was raised in Neenah with her 2 siblings. At the age of 17, she met Francis “Frank” Scovronski, and the rest as they say, “is history.” They married on May 22, 1965, at St Gabriel’s church. Frank and Chris moved to Missouri, where Tim arrived, then Colorado and the arrival of Shelly and finally returned to Wisconsin and son Jason made his appearance. They raised their family in the home they built near Calder Stadium in 1971.
Chris was a dedicated wife and mother and the glue that held her family together-a true matriarch. She loved her family, and she never felt there were “too many” present at any family gathering. She was an excellent cook, although her skills were limited when it came to burgers on the grill. The yearly cousin gathering was something to behold and was always like a mini family reunion.
She loved her friends as well and had a wonderful card club (which consisted mainly of a chat fest) that she participated in since 1969. She and Frank had date nights every week at The Out-of-Town Club. It was the watering hole where they caught up with friends and enjoyed a great meal. Chris and Frank travelled often to Las Vegas with friends. Their travels also included Reno. The best parts about those trips were spending time with friends and time in the hot tub with a bottle of wine. More often than not, Chris’ adventures involved a casino.
Chris is survived by her husband Frank; her children: Timothy (Tracy) Scovronski, Shelly (Cliff) Hoch and Jason (Jacque) Scovronski; grandchildren: Zach (Kimberly) Fieck, Adam (Ashley) Fieck, Lucass Fieck, Owen Tron, and Colin Scovronski; and great grandchildren: Olivia and Kasyn Fieck. She was a loving aunt to Penny Myers, great aunt to Maddy Myers and will be sadly missed by her sister Annette (Dick) Cowling, many friends and extended family as well as faithful companion and best buddy Chewy. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother Jim (Barbara) Lenz.
In keeping with Chris’ wishes, a private farewell for family and friends will be planned for a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Children’s Hospital, Milwaukee.
