Chris Vils was called to Jesus' side early in the morning on Saturday, July 5, 2008, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. The Lord granted Chris 42 years with us. She was born in Arlington Heights, Illinois, on March 9, 1966, daughter of the late Albert Boston and Donna (nee Kirby). Chris graduated from Arlington Heights High School in 1984, and also attended William Rainey Harper Community College in Palatine, Illinois.
Chris married Tim Vils on May 19, 1990, at Faith Lutheran Church in Arlington Heights and relocated to Kaukauna, Wisconsin. The Lord blessed Chris and Tim with two beautiful children, Cody and Brittany.
Chris had previously been employed by Cellular One, but since 1992 had worked for DHL, where she held positions in sales and customer care.
Chris will be remembered for her vibrant personality, her intense energy level, her unusually accelerated speech pattern, her ability to find the good in all people, her passion for her family and friends, and her love for and faith in Jesus Christ.
Chris is survived by her husband: Tim Vils of Kaukauna; her two loving children: Cody and Brittany, both at home; her mother: Donna Logsdon of Cool, California; her step-father: Tommy Logsdon of Seattle, Washington; three sisters: Minnie (Don) Sinard of Hawaii, Cathy (Bruce) Yarbrough of Illinois, and Amber (Jeremy) Caulk of Illinois; two brothers: Dana (Jacki) Logsdon of Illinois and Justin Logsdon of Illinois.

Chris also leaves behind several nieces and nephews: Daniel (Liz) Sinard; Andrew and Nathan Yarbrough; Jordan and Allison Caulk; Lauren and Julia Logsdon; Liam and Elli Logsdon; William and Zoe Wilson; Xander Evans; and Evan, Orie, and Sam Swiontek. Chris was preceded in death by her father, Albert Boston, and by her mother-in-law Judy Swiontek.
