Christine Ann Hietpas

Christine Ann Hietpas, 64, of Kaukauna, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by family, after a courageous battle with cancer on March 18, 2022.

Chris was born in Kaukauna, WI to Robert and Laverne Ribarchek on May 2, 1957.  She graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1975.  She married Gary Hietpas on July 23, 1976 at St. Aloysius in Kaukauna, WI. She was a homemaker with a few stints working for H&R Block during tax season and was known as the unofficial tax expert for all that knew her.  Chris’ family was her top priority, and she always made an effort to attend her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events.  Chris also enjoyed spending time on the lake at their cottage in Shawano.

Chris is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Gary; sons Bradley (Kelly) Hietpas, Andrew (Katie) Hietpas, Curtiss (Becki) Hietpas, Ross (Leah) Hietpas, and daughter Chianna (Kevin Powell) Hietpas; sister Patricia (Terry Loest) Ribarchek of Mayville, WI, brother David (Holly Howard) Ribarchek of Three Rivers, MI; her grandchildren Grayson, Brayden, Jackson, Jada, Zander, Laurynn, Nolan, Max, Drew, Olivia, Evan, Alec, Sawyer, Wyatt, and future baby Hietpas; Gary’s mother Lucille Hietpas, and his siblings Glenn (Connie) Hietpas, Pamela (Philip) Maturo, Clearwater Beach, FL, Keith (Susan) Hietpas, Lynn (Jeffrey) Lamers, Kevin (Chris) Hietpas, Lisa (Todd Biesterveld) Hietpas, Carol (Mark) Casler, Timothy (Cathy) Hietpas, and Julie (Gregg) Rogers.

Chris is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Laverne Ribarchek, half-brother Joseph Carroll, father-in-law Roger Hietpas, nephews Troy Kaufman, Adam Ribarchek, and niece Cara Hietpas.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to ThedaCare Cancer Care (Encircle Health) in Chris’s name are appreciated.

The family of Chris wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the staff at Encircle Cancer Center, especially Krystal Schepp, APNP and Shannon Schmidt, MD, the Theda Care at Home Hospice Nurses and ThedaCare Appleton 8^th Floor nursing staff, and to Laura, the RN Navigator from the Theda Care Canter Center for their compassion and care.

Funeral services for Chris will be held on Thursday March 31^st at Wichmann Fargo Funeral Home, 400 Wisconsin Avenue, Kaukauna at 5:00 PM with Deacon Steve Van De Hey officiating.  Memorial visitation will be held at the funeral home from 3:00 PM until the time of service.
