Christine McEwen Hillman, age 90, died on September 30, 2004 at Cherry Meadows. Christine had been a resident of Appleton for several years.

Daughter of Dennis and Grace (Lintott) Curran, she was born in Bangor, Maine, July 8, 1914. She was the widow of Fredrick T. McEwen and Earl Hillman.

Christine graduated from Regis College, Weston, MA and did post graduate work at the University of Maine and Columbia University. She was a special education teacher in the Orono and Bangor school systems.

She is survived by her two sons, F. Thomas (Maureen) McEwen, Alfred, Maine; and John (Peg) McEwen, Appleton; two granddaughters; six grandsons and one great-grandson. A step son, John Hillman, Cape Fair MO; sister-in-law, Nancy Curran, Bangor; and three special cousins, also survives her. A brother, Dr. Edward L. Curran and her son, Michael E. McEwen pre-deceased her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John Catholic Church, Bangor, Maine. The interment will be held at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Bangor.
