Cheryl Vanden Wyngaard

Cheryl Lynn (Bodway) VandenWyngaard, age 58, passed away on December 19, 2017.

She was born on February 10, 1959. Cheryl graduated from Menasha High School 1978. She married her beloved husband, Steven on May 19, 1984. In 1998 they were blessed with a daughter, Stephanie Lynn.

Cheryl loved to shop and listen to Dolly Parton sing. She visited Dollywood with family a number of times, which brought a wonderful smile to her face. Life brought many challenges, but she received a second chance when an angel donated a new liver. The transplant was successful and took place October 20, 2017. Cheryl was a fighter and spent the last two months at University Hospital in Madison. Her goal was to be there for her family, but the Lord needed her more and she lost her battle on December 19.

She is survived by Steven and Stephanie; siblings: Bev (Bill) Hoppenworth of TN, Linda (Peter) Schroeder of Greenville, Kathy Bragg of Appleton, Dan (Laura) Bodway of Appleton; step mother Susan Bodway of Menasha; nieces: Amy (Mike) Allcox, Mandy (Ross) Schroeder, Emily Bragg (special friend, Justin); nephew: Joe (Kris) Schroeder; as well as many great nieces, nephews, in-laws and extended family.
Cheryl was welcomed in to heaven by her infant son, Steven, her Parents, Joylene and Norbert Bodway, as well as her In-laws, Evelyn and Joseph VandenWyngaard.

There will be a time of visitation on Saturday, December 30, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, TRI COUNTY CHAPEL, 1592 Oneida St. Menasha, WI with the service being held at 2:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established.

Thank you to the University of Wisconsin Transplant and Hematology units for their loving care. A grateful heartfelt thank you to the liver donor for giving Cheryl and her family two more months of memories and her sister Kathy for not leaving her side.
