Cheryl Ann Heale, age 78, passed away December 9, 2024, with her family at her side. She was born on September 18, 1946, in Milwaukee to the late Hubert “Hoopie” and Dorothy (Anderson) Heale. She spent her youth with her siblings.
Cheryl became a licensed hairdresser in 1964. In 1966, after relocating to the Fox Valley area, she opened her own salon Hair Connection, in Neenah, which she ran for 24 years.
Cheryl had wonderful culinary skills and enjoyed cooking and baking. Her recipes are cherished by her family and of all the things she left behind as far as possessions, her recipe collection is perhaps the most coveted. Cheryl made friends wherever she went. She used her gift of gab-which she honed behind the chair in her salon-to make everyone around her feel welcome and special. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Cheryl is survived by her children: Vicki Marquette, Tracy Loth, Zachary Motto and Josh (Holly) Motto and grandchildren: Hannah Wesphal, Tyler Westphal, Ben (Amanda Tesky) Loth, Elizabeth (Bryan) Blum, Lambeau Motto, Ava Motto, Ella Motto, Max Motto, and Wyatt Motto; as well as great grandchildren: Carson, Vera, and Braylee. She is further survived by her sister Deborah Heale and sisters-in-law Judy Heale and Mary Heale. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Chris Heale and David Heale; and son-in-law Jon Loth whom she adored.
A memorial service will take place on Saturday January 11, 2025, at 1:00pm at Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N Superior Street, Appleton. Friends and family may gather at the funeral home from 11:00am until the service begins.
