Charles Joe Reuter III, of Friendship, WI, passed away unexpectedly on November 14, 2024.
Chuck was born to Charles and Marian (Johnston) Reuter Jr., on September 6, 1951, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
On March 8, 1986, Chuck married the love of his life, Ellen Hasenzahl, and they spent 40 years together, raising 5 amazing children.
Chuck spent his early years in Milwaukee, WI, then went into the Marines during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Okinawa, Japan. He worked for Evinrude Motors as a machinist, and then Keebler Cookies as a driver.
After Chuck and Ellen married, they moved to Marshfield, WI, then later to Neenah, WI. He spent his life dedicated to his family and a wide circle of friends. Chuck loved fishing, nature, and spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and River, his dog.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Ellen, his 5 children (Nicole Hoff, Jessica Smith (Corey Lamb), Chuck Reuter IV, Ivie Vander Wielen, and Alexis Reuter. Also survived by his grandchildren, Aminee, Kadin, Madyson, Cohen, Grayson, Marcus, Cambri, Landon and Lilly. He is further survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews, as well as many friends that became family.
Chuck was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents Charles and Marian, brother Arthur, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and best pal Cal Shoemaker.
There will be a Memorial Service for Chuck on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Wichmann Funeral Home (537 N. Superior St., Appleton, WI 54911) with visitation from 10:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 pm.
