Chuck worked as a sales representative for various companies in the Fox River Valley, such as Thilmany Paper; Nichol Straubel where he was Vice President; and then owned Sweete Wholesale Distributing for 20 years. In 2002 Chuck retired, and spent his remaining years traveling, camping, fishing/sleeping in the back of the boat, and visiting with friends.
Chuck will always be remembered as a wonderful and devoted husband, father and grandfather and uncle. His selfless and giving nature made everyone feel important and valued. A man of many smiles, he was gifted at making those around him laugh. He was a man who made people feel better just by being in his presence. Family was paramount to Chuck and the time he spent playing cards, reading, hunting, and telling “bad dad jokes” to one and all will always be fondly if laughingly remembered. Remember it’s “Lenius, like Genius, only, with an L.”
Chuck was an active member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, and was a member of the Lions, Jaycees, the Elks and various community organizations.
