Charles D. Albertz, Jr.

November 28, 1949 — June 28, 2002

Age 52, passed away Friday, June 28, 2002 at the Appleton Medical Center following a six-month illness. Chuck was born November 28, 1949 in Columbus, Wisconsin, the son of Charles and Beatrice (Keip) Albertz. He attended school in Kaukauna, and after his second year of technical college he began working at Thilmany Pulp and Paper in Kaukauna as a pipefitter. Later he completed his electrician apprenticeship and worked as an electrician at the mill until his health failed in November of 2001. Chuck enjoyed riding his motorcycle and his four-wheeler, and looked forward to his eventual retirement in Arizona. Most of his free time was spent hosting family and friends on his pontoon boat and at his cottage near Crivitz. He will also be remember by many as a guy who was always on the go; always traveling somewhere or another.

He is survived by his parents: Charlie and Beatrice Albertz of Kaukauna; a brother: Dan (Debby) Albertz of Freedom and their children Brian, Jason, and Crystal; and another brother, Jerry, whom he watched out for and made his home with. Chuck also leaves behind his good friends, John and Karen Maas, as well as his many buddies from the mill. The funeral for Chuck will be held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, July 2, 2002 at BETHANY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 124 W. 10th Street in Kaukauna with Rev. Walter Steinbach officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery. Friends may call directly at the church on Tuesday from 3:00 PM until the hour of the service.
