BALL, CHARLES A., III

Charles A. Ball, III, Town of Menasha, age 56 years, passed away at his home on Monday, January 29, 2007 with his loving family by his side. He was born February 19, 1950 in Evanston, Illinois, the son of the late Charles and Marguerite (Storch) Ball, Jr.. On April 3, 1989 at Montego Bay, Jamaica, he married Catherine Gibbons. Charles was a faithful member of St. Bernard Catholic Church. He was a member of Butte Des Morts Country Club and served on the social committee from 1997 – 2000.

Charles attended Wisconsin State University and the University of Arizona. In addition, he completed courses with the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR). He has over 23 years experience as a commercial broker most recently at NAI MLG Commercial. Prior to joining NAI MLG Commercial, Charles co-founded and spent five years as a broker/owner with Commercial Associates. His projects have included real estate acquisition and disposition, as well as leasing, site selection, and 1031 Tax Deferred Exchanges.

He is a current member of the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce & Industry, the REALTORS Association of Northeastern Wisconsin, the Northeastern Wisconsin Commercial Investment Council, the National Association of REALTORS, the Society of Industrial and Office REALTORS (SIOR) – Washington D.C., and co-founder and President of Society of Industrial and Office REALTORS (SIOR) Wisconsin Chapter. Charles was also the recipient of the 2001 “Excellence in Professionalism” award from the Realtor Association of Northeast Wisconsin.

Charles is survived by his loving wife: Catherine Ball, Town of Menasha; step-son: Sean Patrick Mueller, Town of Menasha; step-mother: Ardith Ball, Ephriam; brothers: Michael (Donna) Ball, Ellison Bay and Christopher (Elise) Ball, Winnetka, Illinois; brother-in-law: Seamus J. Gibbons, County Mayo, Ireland; sisters-in-law: Mary (Tom) Elson, Appleton and Helen (Charles) Browning, Lakeland, Florida; uncle: Richard (Pam) Storch, Washington D.C. and aunt: Gretchen (Lyman) Hull, Seattle, Washington. He is further survived by his four step-brothers, a step-sister, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

The funeral liturgy for Charles will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at ST. BERNARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1617 W. Pine Street, Appleton with Fr. Justin Werner and Fr. Dennis Ryan officiating. Interment will take place at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 2nd from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Wichmann Funeral Home with a prayer service scheduled at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the American Cancer Society or the Charles Ball SIOR Wisconsin Scholarship Fund.
