Celestin ''Les'' Kilsdonk

Les passed away suddenly at his home on Friday, January 10, 2003 at the age of 68. He was born in Little Chute on July 24, 1934, son of the late Frank and Elizabeth (Ebben) Kilsdonk. Les was a life-long dairy farmer, always known for operating efficient, large dairy farms in the area. As a young man, he took dancing lessons and also learned to play the accordion. Les was proud to be a charter member of St. Thomas More Parish, and was currently writing a book about happiness – a book which he intended to share with his family and friends.

On August 7, 1982, Les married the former Beth Witter in Appleton, and their marriage was blessed with two sons: Curt Kilsdonk and Joe Kilsdonk, both at home. Other survivors include a brother: Norb (Mary) Kilsdonk of Little Chute; two sisters: Henrietta (Ken) Lenz of Menasha and Rosella Knight of Appleton. Les is also survived by his mother-in-law: Mary Jane Witter, as well as Beth’s brothers and sisters: Jean (Dutch) Ducher, Ann (Fred) Mader, Patty (Jim) Danielski, John (Retta) Witter, and Bob Witter. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Geraldine (Gerry) Maertz, Rena (Ozzie) Ritchie; a brother-in-law Edward Knight, and his father-in-law Amil Witter.

The funeral liturgy for Les will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 14, 2003 at ST. THOMAS MORE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1825 N. McDonald Street in Appleton with Fr. Gerald Falk officiating. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. Friends may call directly at the church on Tuesday from 9 AM until the hour of the service.
