Cecily M. Capen

Formerly of Kaukauna, age 85, passed away in Fresno on July 11, 2001. Cecily was born in Waupaca on February 6, 1916, daughter of the late Adolph and Anna (Klug) Dake.

During her years in Kaukauna, she was employed as a clerk at Badger Northland, and later worked as a nurses’ aide at the County Hospital in Appleton. Survivors include a daughter: Judith (Ralph) Stecker of Fresno, California; two sons: James (Faye) Potratz of Rosholt and Jack (Jean) Capen of Lake St. Louis, Missouri; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother: James Dake of Wild Rose; a sister: Katherine Colburn of Oshkosh. Cecily was preceded in death by her parents, both of her husbands, a brother Robert Dake, and sisters Dorothea Clement and Lucille Pellinger.

Funeral services for Cecily will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 17, 2001 at Bethany Lutheran Church, 124 W. 10th Street in Kaukauna with Rev. Walter Steinbach officiating. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery. Friends may call directly at the church on Tuesday from 10 AM until the hour of the service.
