Carolyn Louise Stoflet, age 76, of Appleton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 13, 2013 at Brewster Village. Carolyn was born on December 13, 1936, to Gladys and the Emil Furo. She graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in Stevens Point in 1956. Carolyn enjoyed being a home maker while her daughters were young and also worked at Edgewater Haven Nursing home in Port Edwards for several years.
Prior to her brain injury in 1983, Carolyn was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids. She enjoyed doing craft projects as well as spending time with her family. She will be remembered for her sassy sense of humor.
She is survived by her mother, Gladys Furo; daughters, Sherry Schnabel and Luann (Fred Lowther) Jensen; grandsons, Patrick and Michael Schnabel and her grand dogs. She is also survived by her brother, George (Marlene) Furo and her very special friend Beth. She was preceded in death by her father, Emil Furo.
A memorial service will be held for Carolyn at 5:30 pm on November 15, 2013 at BREWSTER VILLAGE (3300 W Brewster St. APPLETON) with Rev. Roger McQuiston officiating. A time of visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until the time of service. A grave side service will be held for Carolyn at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Runkles Cemetery.
