Carole Mae Ristow

Menasha - Age 90, passed away after a brief illness on Saturday April 9, 2022. Carole was born on June 7, 1931 in Appleton, WI to parents Gustav and Henrietta (Kleuskens). Carole graduated from Appleton West High School in 1949. She worked for Al Rudolph Motors for a short time and Appleton Eye, Ear, Nose, and Throat clinic in the Zuelke building, which later moved to the Eye Clinic in Doctors Park. She retired in 1996 as office manager.

Carole was a devote Catholic and served many years as a Eucharist minister at St. Mary Catholic Church in Menasha and participated many years in a Sunday morning Communion service at Oakridge Gardens nursing home in Menasha.

Carole was a scratch bowler and a good golfer.

After their parents died, Carole and her long time friend, Joyce Nyman, traveled the USA and visited over 20 foreign countries, hot air ballooning in California, New Mexico, and Australia.

Carole is survived by her sister Grace Wege, many nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly, her special friend Joyce Nyman, and many other friends.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, Gustav and Henrietta, infant brothers Kenneth and Melvin; her infant sister Ione; brothers Gordon Ristow and Arvin Ristow; sisters Bernice Muraski, Mary Jane Stumpf, Elayne Schabow; sister-in-law Janet Ristow, brothers-in-law Donald J. Stumpf, Richard Wege, and Leo Muraski; nephews Robert Shabow and Robin Wege; and nieces husband Jerry Stingle.

The Mass of Christian Burial for Carole will be celebrated at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 528 2nd St, Menasha WI, with Father Jude Egbuna officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of Mass. Entombment at Appleton Highland Memorial Park. Online condolences may be expressed a www.wichmannfuneralhomes.com.
