Carol lived a life full of happy family times mixed with a sense of humor and love for her family and friends. After many years of raising children, cooking, baking, gardening, and washing countless diapers, she and Claude enjoyed time traveling, DIY landscaping projects, cross country skiing, taking long car rides to get an ice cream cone, playing French horn in the Kimberly Community Band, boating with Ken and Barb, Friday night fish frys, many picnics with family and relatives, summer weeks at cottages on Silver Lake. Spending time with their adult children and their growing families was a gratifying time for them both. They had an amazing 47 years together. After Dad passed away, Mom was on her own for 17 years where she fine-tuned her hobbies of knitting, quilting, singing in the church choir, watercolor painting, Bridge and other card games with dear new and life-long friends, playing her ukulele and traveling to a few warm locales to escape Wisconsin winter weather. Each year she would paint an original Christmas scene to create an original Christmas card. Her family and friends will have many works of “Painted by Carol” art to remember her by.
As it happened, she then met Chuck Neuser who quickly turned her contented life to one of new love, companionship and even more laughter. They soon realized they found something special in each other and shared passions like reading, jigsaw puzzle building, late breakfasts, lakeside afternoons, lunch at “Grimms”, movie nights, a deep patriotism and always laughter, lots of laughter. Their love affair was short yet very sweet, and she was grateful for finding love again with such a kind and generous man.
Mom read her Bible faithfully, her faith in God was strong throughout her life. She is now in heaven with her Lord and Savior and all who have gone before her. The family would like to sincerely thank so many in the Theda Care Hospice system who have shared with us their compassion, kindness, medical expertise, hugs and time, especially Naydene, Angie, Ida, and Erica. This appreciation is expressed often by many but cannot be done strongly enough.
Carol’s Funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 600 E. Kimberly Avenue, Kimberly Wis 54136. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Her Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. Carol will be laid to rest at Holy Angels Cemetery, Darboy.
