Carol R. Witt

Carol Witt went to be with her loving Lord on May 3, 2005 after her long battle with cancer. She was born January 18, 1936. Through her earthly life, her goal was to please and care for those around her. It was people who meant the most. Any one who knew Carol treasured her friendship and the way she would put others first. Carol is survived by her mother: Laura Toms of Kaukauna; her daughter: Janice (Terry) Schlender of DePere; two grandsons: Tom Schlender of Green Bay and Dan Schlender of DePere; a brother: Jim (Joyce) Toms, Rockford, IL; a sister-in-law: Muriel (John) McGrann of Chelmsford, MA; three nephews: Joel Toms, Lance McGrann, and Sean (Sue) McGrann. She was preceded in death by her loving father Jewell Toms, her loving husband Martin Witt, and her loving nephew Glen Toms. Carol will be missed by all who new her on her earthly life, and welcomed by all who went before her to their heavenly life.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 7, 2005 at PEACE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 2300 E. Wisconsin Avenue in Kaukauna with Rev. Timothy Albrecht officiating. There will be a gathering at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

The family would like to thank all of the staff and volunteers at Cherry Meadows Hospice for all of their loving and kind support. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations directed to The Hospice at Cherry Meadows and to cancer research.
