HANDT, CAROL MAE

Carol Mae Handt, age 63, died unexpectedly at Appleton Medical Center on Friday, June 29, 2007, following surgical complications. Carol was born on September 11, 1943, in Appleton to the late Chester and Hildegarde (Dorn) Gardner. She married Robert N. Handt on February 16, 1963, in Winchester; he preceded her in death on October 4, 2001. Carol was employed at Kimberly Clark for a number of years prior to her career as a homemaker. In 1992 she began her career at Pitney Bowes in its Customer Service Department, retiring in March of 2007. She enjoyed bowling, card playing, reading, gardening and especially her cat Mike. Survivors include her son, Gregg (Holly) Handt, and their children Felicia (and her daughter Myranda) and Danielle, Seymour; her daughter, Noelle (Jon) Hauser, and their children, Bryan and Christopher, and Gary Handt, Appleton. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, LeLand. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 3, 2007, at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, Appleton, with Rev. Judy Deckert officiating. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call on Monday, July 2, 2007, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services.
