Carol Laverne Ribarchek

Age 74, passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2004 at Cherry Meadows Hospice in Appleton. Laverne was born June 25, 1930 in Cass County Missouri, daughter of the late Fred and Harriet (Smith) McAninch. She graduated from Outagamie County Teachers College in Kaukauna and on December 27, 1952 married Bob Ribarchek. Laverne enjoyed crochet, watching movies, bowling, and reading. In addition to raising her own family, Laverne will be fondly remembered for caring for Joan and Marlene Nicholson in her home.

She is survived by her husband of fifty-one years: Bob Ribarchek of Little Chute; four children: Joseph Carroll of Nekoosa; Christine (Gary) Hietpas of Kaukauna; Patricia Ribarchek of Little Chute; David Ribarchek of Three Rivers, Michigan; eleven grandchildren: Kenneth and Daniel Carroll; Bradley, Andrew (Katie), Curtiss (Becki), Ross, and Chianna Hietpas; Benjamin, Adam, Tamara, and Rebecca Ribarchek; four great-grandchildren: Christine, Jessica, Jada, and Zander; a brother: Earl “Wayne” (Pauline) Cook of Three Rivers, Michigan; three brothers-in-law: Donald (Betty) Ribarchek of Green Bay, Bernard (Rita) Ribarchek of Wrightstown, and John “Steve” (Carol) Ribarchek of Green Bay; two sisters-in-law: Dorothy Gibson and Gladys (Hank) Goode.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, August 17, 2004 at the funeral home chapel with Chaplain Jordan Kuczwara officiating. Interment will follow in Kaukauna’s Union Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11 AM until the hour of the service.

The family would like to extend their thanks to the caregivers at Cherry Meadows Hospice. Even though Laverne was with you a short time, we learned what wonderful people you are. Thank you so much.
